Elementary Robotics Club: Grades 3-5
Design, build, and program a series of robots
In Elementary Robotics Club we use the WeDo 2.0 platform from Lego Education. The WeDo system is designed to sequentially challenge your student to understand mechanical concepts and beginning programming concepts in a fun collaborative Christian environment. Teams will conduct research and learn an engineering design process. They will prepare and present a demo board in response to the year's FIRST FLL challenge for the CPCRC Expo.
WeDo 2.0 Learning Platform
LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 makes elementary science come to life through hands-on tasks, real-world projects, and relevant technology that engages students. The unique combination of the LEGO brick, classroom-friendly software, and inspiring, standards-based science projects results in a resource that builds students’ confidence.
Season Schedule and Times
FLL Teams meet once or twice a week from September through early December. Teams will compete in district competition in late November or early December and may move on to additional competitions. Day of week and time of build sessions will be determined by your coach but normally consist of one night per week and periodic weekend sessiona.
CRCRC All Robotics Expo
The CPCRC Expo is a school-wide event to showcase the robotics accomplishments of students across all levels of the system and to inspire the broader school community in STEM related efforts. Elem. Robotics Club teams will participate in the Expo where they will demonstrate and show their research and robot creations.
